- Fire detections originate from Copernicus EFFIS/GWIS (NASA VIIRS and MODIS instruments) and are automatic measurements: false detections occur (industry, gas flares, sun glint), and real fires can be missed (cloud, overpass timing).
- The service is provided as-is, without warranty of completeness, timeliness or availability. It must not be used for safety-critical decisions or as a warning system. In an emergency, follow the official civil-protection authorities.
